Winter Wildlife Photography Workshop

January 26 - 29, 2017
Event Full
Join Waiting List

Do you love photographing wildlife, but often find it frustrating because long telephoto lenses are needed? Having traveled the world to many exotic locations: It’s expensive and often the wildlife opportunities can be very unreliable. The solution is a photo tour to a well-known and respected game reserve where well cared for animals are photographed in very natural surroundings with relatively short lenses. For our wildlife models, the most commonly used lens is a 70-200 with a 1/4x converter or 100-400 or equivalent. I used the new Canon 100-400 IS II on a 7D Mark II body for 98% of my shots last year with stunning results. More Info

The rugged pink granite shoreline is famous for spectacular coastal cliff views bathed in warm sunrise light. Fall is the perfect season to explore the diverse beauty of Acadia as deciduous leaves turn yellow and red among the mixed conifer forests. Join us as we photograph granite cliffs, cobblestone beaches, quite ponds large and small, and quaint harbors. More Info

Hidden Canyons and Monument Valley

October 23 - 28, 2017

William Manning and I began leading photo tours/workshops together over 30 years ago. Both of us are thrilled to bring you a first class digital photography workshop in several tremendous locations. We are excited about sharing with you the beauty of three relatively unknown canyons in Arizona. We are pleased to offer a tour of Ha Ho Geh Canyon, Coalmine Canyon and Blue Canyon as first stops on this three-part itinerary. Bill scouted and photographed these areas last year, and his images are simply stunning, and better yet, the areas are virtually deserted. We can explore and photograph in complete solitude.
